Universe
of Knowledge
Two
days ago I laid in the dew covered
grass
on the night of a full moon
contemplating
the meaning of life.
Losing
count of the stars sometime after two hundred,
I
finally gave up and headed for my room
before
spotting a shooting star pass by Aquarius.
Of
course I again became interested...
Laying
down again feeling the dew soak into my shirt,
I
discovered that as much as I was interested in
seeking
out my origins, I couldn't help but
be
distracted by the seeping cold in my back.
This
brought to me the fact that I am only human.
Even
Plato, against his own will, had to realize
that
although man is in constant search of knowledge,
this
world of physical senses will always be in
the
way to distract our path to enlightenment.
Realizing
my present fate on Earth,
I
finally gave into my senses and fell asleep
Staring
at the uncharted Universe.
