Tangled Web

Wrapped up in her tangled web, just one of the boys drawn in
Though they love her as they can, she wonders yet how to win
She lost her heart to a fantasy love, then had it ripped away
She knew it would last a lifetime, but it ended one fateful day
Now as she feels their warmth draw near a part of her has died
While in their arms it's just not the same, the reason why she cried
She's not sure if she knows how to love, if what she feels is real
Afraid the trap is set if it's love she'll ever be allowed to feel
A tangled web of hurt and fear; of a love chained deep inside
Her need to open up, in a reality from which she can't hide
A gentle Angel, a loving soul, a woman through and through
She wants to love but is terrified of what she must do
When it feels so right and and she can feel the "melt"
A flash of fear touches deep inside and tempers what's she's felt
The boys pull hard on the web they're in, pulling at her heart
They don't realize that what they do is tearing her heart apart
When she is healed some special man will learn a thing of wonder
Her love she'll give in its entirety and won't be pulled asunder
A soul so sweet it soars on high as the flight of a peaceful dove
The tangled web will be a shield to wrap these two in love
