Sound City '99
I read the scheduled line-up for BBC's Sound City, and saw that I needed this night's broadcast badly. Most of the nights had great bands, but this one stood out with The Flaming Lips, Hefner, and Clinic. A kind soul in Scotland taped this for me, so it is an excellent sounding FM tape. I have not written down the setlists for it yet becuase I haven't sat and wrote down the songs while I listened (I'm usually on the move with my Walkman), but Hefner plays a short set of some of their more obscure songs, Clinic (who I have heard of but not heard before receiving this tape) play a great set of songs that I am not sure of, and the Flaming Lips play several from the Soft Bulletin as well as their version of "Somewhere Over The Rainbow." I will try to determine the exact songs for this tape in the future. Hefner and Clinic both play for about twenty minutes, and the Lips go for about 30.
