Thoughts From The Heart
Under The Rainbow
Today I decended over the jagged rocks
That led to the innermost inferno
Where the lost and the lonely abide.
There was no rainbow there
Because there was no sun.
Utopia did not exist
In the regions of moonless dark.
There were only sounds of weeping
All too familiar to me.
Pleading hands reached out hopefully
As I entered the cavern of despair
But I was one of them
And could not help.
The moaning and sobbing continued.
Unrelentlessly they cried
Until I became absorbed
In their overwhelming grief.
As if meant to be,
I sat down among them
And felt comfortable
Because we were of kindred hearts.
So now we cry together
In the hell of despondency
Resigned to nonexistance
In a state the world calls life.
Somewhere
Somewhere in time, there must be a place for me in the universe--among the multitude of stars that light the galaxy.  There must be a place where I would thrive and be comfortable and happy among many like-minds who also search for the Truth.
In the present darkness imposed on us because we are mortal, mankind is shackled and confined within the physical shell that imprisons us.
What we truly are, a spiritual mind, can never be perfected until we are free to soar--to rush on wings of gold toward the ultimate perfection that is God.
