Two Circles

Once together, always together,

Whether it be for those who love at first sight,

Or those who grow into love.

There were once two, who loved within a minute,

And two others who despised each other.

One couple spent their days in fantasies and nights in dreams,

The other spent both the days and nights in cages.

As the other spoke with words of affection,

This pair spoke with spears.

Although both couples are in love,

One shows proof of such feelings,

And the other scorns such emotion.

One pair is bashful and truthful about their love,

The other writes poems in secret, then burns them in public.

One pair weds in wedded bliss,

The other just barely weds without a scratch.

Love is truly blind.

For who would make two people love their enemies?
