Comments: Danzr von Thai, your short poem spoke
beautifully to the feelings of the individual,
the desperation one feels in the face of world
leaders' blindness.

Comments: Doug Tanouory, your bitter-sweet poem
is very effective, very affecting. The "white noise"
of the words, the descriptions, support even as
they try to ignore the desperate decisions of
survival. Somewhere in the mind of the reader is
the question, "Is it better to live on alone or
die together?"

Comments: Jerry Jenkins, you made rhyme work in a
complex but unforced way that supports the clear
imagery and calm acceptance of the inevitable. There
is a mystic quality to the poem that heightens its effect.

Comments: I especially like your poem, Jim Drew.
The background I found is perfect, I think, and
I was lucky to find it quickly. The thought of
those two people walking slowly with determination
and desperation toward one another along the
railroad tracks touches my heart. It is the kind
of plan my family has - to live together or to
die together. I hope you're as pleased with the
final effect as I am.

Comments: Patricia I wanted to add my voice to
the list of those giving thanks to you and your
efforts. To ride a dream one must give of themselves
and thus is the cost and the rewards of the dream
the same thing. So good luck with your dream and
may you find fulfillment and reason to dream once
again. Good luck Bear

Comments: Readers, writers, please comment on the
page. It is very long and could be made up of
peel-away pages instead. As it is, I think it is
dramatic and yet does nothing to take attention
away from the most important part: your work.
