the Long-awaited REBUTTAL
Me clam up!!!!????
Well here is the long awaited rebuttal..or in other words..a woman's take on the situation:
It is true that we met on the date he said,(what a bragger). A girlfriend and I had gone out dancing and she wanted to stop in this pub on the way home to show me "this cool place". To tell you the truth, I didn't want to go in because I was dressed in a mini-shirt and didn't feel comfortable. She persisted and so I went in. She took me all the way to the back of the bar where everyone plays pool. I never knew anything about playing pool so I went back there with her to go watch. Sure enough some clown started to bother us when all of a sudden, (you guessed it) John came to the rescue. I thanked him, but I was feeling so uncomfortable in there I wasn't very sociable. I just wanted to go home! He thought I was being stuck up, so he made it his purpose in life to give me grief!(what a jerk!)
I couldn't stand him! Later as time went on, my friends and I started to go to that place and play pool. Little did I know, it was a regular hang out of his. He persisted in giving me a hard time, but I never backed down. I guess we kind of intrigued each other.
I never met anyone like him in my life(thank god there is only one, sheeesh). We became best friends after that and for two years remained strictly platonic(hehehe). Well..we "slipped" here and there and didn't date anyone else, but I swear, we were just friends! Of coarse during the two years, we secretly fell in love and were both too bull headed to say anything to each other.
Long story short, we kept "slipping" far too many times and realized that we loved each other. We married on the beach in Carmel with only our closest friends and my family (since his was in Chicago). John chose to get married at dawn to signify a new beginning. What a guy!!
I'm crazy about him and will be until the day I die. Besides..who can resist being spoiled rotten I know I can't ;)
He also is responsible for my love of sailing. I've always loved the ocean. Besides if you had a chance to get out of Indiana, wouldn't you take it?????
Okay honey, I did what you asked, and wrote this rebuttal. Can I go back on the grid now??? can I? huh?
