The 1997 West Virginia High O'Brian Youth Foundation State Leadership Seminar

MISSION
Each year, the foundation extends an invitation to every high school in the state to nominate one member of their sophomore class who will attend a four-day seminar to furthur their understanding of our country by interacting with leaders from a variety of fields: business, media, education, healthcare, and the environment, as well as members of the political arena. Over the years, the West Virginia Program has had enormous success, boasting the most active alumni association in the country ass well as being honored as the only seminar named as an "Outstanding Seminar Site" four consecutive years. The intensive seminar combines with a developed alumni association to provide effective channels for these leaders to develop personal maturity, increased organizational skills, and a sense of confidence that comes from recognizing their true potential.
