It isn't hard to say something nice about someone.
A young couple had a baby who was physically perfect except for one thing: He was born with no ears. The parents of this yong baby were extremely worried about how difficult life would be for their child. They feared the ridicule he would under go from other kids when he got older and had to go to school. They wanted to intorduce their son to other children befor that dreaded day to see what the reacion would be. They asked one of their neighbors to bring over their littl girls to the house . Instead of showing up with their daughters, the neighbors showed up with their eight-year-old son who was known for his mean mouth. If you had bad breath he wouldn't just say it, he would fall to the floor and faint. |
Full of reservations, they introduced their son to the little boy and waited for a reaction. He looked at him lying in the bed. Finally the mean little boy asked, "Are his eyes good?"
"Well, yes. Why?" asked the concerned parents. "Because he's going to have a hard time wearing glasses." Even the most obnoxious person doesn't have to say something mean. Don't notice everything wrong with people. Noctice what they have going for them. If you look a little closer than first appearances you'll find the rose instead of the thorn. |
