So I play this thing called hockey. I started off on roller, but now I'm on the ice a lot more. Here is a pic of Team Palmitas from 1999.

Upper: Rob, Eddie, Brandt, Brendan, Aric, Jared, Johnston (me)
Lower: Mike, Kevin, Steve, Tim
Not Shown: Evan, Kevin, Sam, and Mike our goalie who moved to Washington.

We decided to take a break from playing roller, most of the guys are on the ice team now.

And now a list of my gear because I can.
Helmet Mission Carbster
Shoulder Pads Bauer 5000
Elbow Pads Nike Quest V-12.
Gloves Louisville HG1
Knee/Shin Guards Jofa 8090
Rollerhockey Pants Hyper Steel
Ice hockey Pants Nike Quest 1
Skates Mission DNA D1
Nike Quest V-12
Sticks Innovative 1100's

Sometimes I think I'm a goaltender, here's what I got:
Helmet Cooper SK2000 with Bauer HM30 facemask and GTP
Chest Protector Miller.
Pants Louisville X-hale
Goalie Pads Louisville Icecaps
Catch Louisville Icecap
Block Louisville Contour
Skates Bauer Reactor 3000 Goal Skates
Sticks Louisville X-Hale
Underpants/jock/other things Bauer

And now my opinion about hockey equipment. I should know about this stuff because I used sell it all day.

Bauer is my all-around favorite skate/equipment companies since they do a lot of stuff and do it well. I really like their ice skates and helmets. Nike owns Bauer and has their own brand of radical looking gear. If you can get past the shocking look of it, it's really good stuff.

Louisville pretty much kicks ass all around. Their goalie gear is the best available. Their gloves, sticks, and pants are all great. If they made helmets and skates, they could de-throne Bauer as my favorite company.

Mission makes some awesome skates for roller hockey, the DNA series is way ahead of anyone else. Their pants are ugly as sin, why in the hell do I want to look like a motocross rider? It's hockey, and no one will take roller seriously until it stops trying to copy other trends.

CCM, Jofa, and Koho are all the same company, and if THC ever get's it's act together it'll beat out Bauer/Nike as the #1 company in my book. Jofa is the best in protection, you can't go wrong with their elbow pads, shin guards, and shoulder pads. CCM makes some nice skis... I mean skates. Koho is the bastard step-child of the three, they've got the difficult task of going up against Mission as the "hip" brand.

Easton makes a lot of equipment but they only shine on sticks and blades.
