What good is knowledge without others being able to see it? Knowledge distribution allows others to take advantage of the knowledge that has been prepared. By sharing knowledge the inefficiencies of fewer people having the proper knowledge is reduced and even eliminated. Groups that share knowledge are more productive than groups who horde it. Making sure that the authors of the knowledge receive credit for what they create will ensure lower knowledge hording since credit is given where credit is due.
