Just a few words about myself for the curious.
I Live in Kilwinning, which is a small town in Ayrshire, Scotland. I've recentltly moved from Glasgow, which is a larger city in Scotland. Places in Glasgow that I've lived are Tradeston, Nitshill, Pollok, Partick, Priesthill, Kelvinbridge, Knightswood and Drumchapel. I've lived in Scotland all my life, but am reasonably well travelled.
I went to sea and was in the (UK) merchant navy for 14 years as a marine engineer. I loved what I saw, but I got fed up with the lonely life. Since I left the merchant navy, my foreign travel has been limited to holiday jaunts. In the US, I've visited the Big Apple, short stays along most of the East Coast, and Forida (who hasn't been to Florida! hehehe!!) Europe includes Belgium, France, Germany, Spain, Norway, Faroes, Greece and not to forget........all over the UK! Last year, I was in Marmaris, Turkey for a wee holiday......It's highly recommended, but be sure to hire a fan in the hotel!
Anyway, back to work! I'm quite a late starter to the Internet. I first accessed the www last year and, since I'm now 42 years old, you can see what I mean by a late starter!!! Ah well, in the olden days..........!!! since going on to the Internet, I've made quite a few friends and (so far) no enemies!!! hehehehe!!! There are always folk who are willing to help you if you have any Internet problems.
At the moment, I go to "the College of Building and Printing", in Glasgow. I attend once a week on a Wednesday. I am doing an HNC in "Electronic Publishing for Print Media". This course is heavily into DeskTop Publishing, Graphics Design and other computer-related stuff. So now I have a career, as well as a hobby!!
Apart from computers, my other great hobby is keeping and breeding tropical fish. I've got 14 (yes, fourteen!!) tanks of the little(and large!) darlings. So far, I've successfully bred Guppys, Mollys, Plattys,(easy-peasy!), White Clouds, Danios, Fighters, Rainbows and, my pride and joy...........Red Oscars! I had 4 lovely pirhanas, but they bit through the air hose while I was away for a few days, and suffocated themselves! (would that mean that they're suicidal?)
