This page was created in memory of Dora Haase

better known as *Nana*

Nana was 93 when she left this life on January 27,1999

Nana was a great-great grandmother to my 2 girls

and my great grandmother.Nana was more of my mother

than any other person on this Earth and I miss her heart & soul

Below are some poems I have found, some thoughts, some Bible verses.

Also a poem she had typed up herself in the 70's.

What better way to leave a memory for your family than to have

written it yourself?

To Those I Love

If I should ever leave you whom I Love

To go along the Silent Way,grieve not,

Nor speak of me with tears, but laugh and talk

Of me as if I were there beside you, for

Who knows but that I shall be oftentimes?

I'd come, I'd come, could I but find a way!

But would not tears and grief be barriers ?

And when you hear a song I used to sing,

Or see a bird I Loved - Let not the thought

Of me be sad, for I am loving you.

Just as I always have....You were so good to me

So many many things to say to you...

Remember that I did not fear...it was leaving you

I could not bear to face....

We cannot see Beyond...But this I know,

I loved you so - 'twas Heaven here with you

Loving you, Nana

In Revelation 21:4 it says, "God will wipe away every tear from their eyes;

there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying.

There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away."

The Bible tells us that there is a pathway through difficult

times in our lives that leads to higher ground.

The experience may indeed be life-threatening, or at least it feels that way.

It is the perilous path of the valley of the shadow of death that David spoke of in Psalm 23:4:

"Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for

You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me."

The Rose also symbolizes Love and reminds us during Advent of John 3:16, "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that

whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."

Legend has it that only after the fall of man did the Rose take on its thorns to remind man of the sins he had committed and his fall from grace; whereas, the fragrance and beauty continued to remind him of the splendor of Paradise

Do not stand at my grave and weep; I am not there, I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow; I am the diamond glints on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain; I am the gentle autumn's rain. When you awaken in the morning's hush, I am the swift uplifting rush; of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft star that shines at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry. I am not there; I did not die.

When Tomorrow Starts Without Me

Author: Unknown

When tomorrow starts without me,and I'm not there to see;

If the sun should rise and find your eyes,all filled with tears for me;

I wish so much you wouldn't cry,the way you did today,

while thinking of the many things,we didn't get to say.

I know how much you love me,

as much as I love you,and each time that you think of me,I know you'll miss me too;

But when tomorrow starts without me,please try to understand,

that an angel came and called my name, and took me by the hand,

and said my place was ready,in heaven far above, and that I'd have to leave behind, all those I dearly love.

But as I turned to walk away,a tear fell from my eye,for all life, I'd always thought,

I didn't want to die.

I had so much to live for,so much yet to do,

it seemed almost impossible, that I was leaving you.

I thought of all the yesterdays, the good ones and the bad,

I thought of all the love we shared, and all the fun we had.

If I could relive yesterday, just even for awhile,

I'd say goodbye and kiss you and maybe see you smile.

But then I fully realized, that this could never be,

for emptiness and memories, would take the place of me.

And when I thought of worldly things,I might miss come tomorrow,

I thought of you, and when I did,my heart was filled with sorrow.

But when I walked through heaven's gates,I felt so much at home.

When God looked down and smiled at me,from His great golden throne,

He said, "This is eternity, and all I've promised you".

Today for life on earth is past, but here it starts anew.

I promise no tomorrow, but today will always last,

and since each day's the same day, there's no longing for the past.

But you have been so faithful,so trusting and so true.

Though there were times you did some things, you knew you shouldn't do.

But you have been forgiven and now at last you're free.

So won't you take my hand and share my life with me?

So when tomorrow starts without me,don't think we're far apart,

for every time you think of me,I'm right here, in your heart.

They say memories are golden well maybe that is true,

We never wanted memories We only wanted you.

A million times we needed you, a million times we cried.

If love alone could have saved you ,you never would have died.

In life we loved you dearly, In death we love you still.

In our hearts you hold a place no one could ever fill.

If tears could build a stairway and heartache make a lane,

I'd walk the path of heaven and bring you back again.

Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same.

But as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.

Nana, I Love You So Much.

You Are the Light That Is Guiding Me

Until I See Your Sweet Face Again.

Made with love by Pam

For my Nana
