What This Packages Does
-----------------------
This package provides the Modem driver for Windows Me users.
The Modem driver enables or updates the modem function of 
"Intel(R) PRO/100 SP Mobile Combo Adapter" of the
following ThinkPad computers:

  - ThinkPad A21e Model Type 2655 (*1)
  - Thinkpad A22e(*1), A22m(*1), A22p(*1)
  - Thinkpad T22(*1), T23(*1)
  - Thinkpad X21(*1)
  - ThinkPad i Series 1800(*1)(*2)
  - ThinkPad A30(*1), A30p(*1)
  - ThinkPad X22(*1)

 (Note)  *1: With "Intel(R) PRO/100 SP Mobile Combo Adapter" option.
         *2: Japenese models only (Windows 2000 and Me support only).

To enable the Ethernet function of the MiniPCI Combo, an another
package for Ethernet driver is also required.

To determine if you should update the Modem driver, refer to the
"Summary of Changes" section.

To update the Modem driver, refer to the "Installation Instructions" 
section.

Installation Instructions
-------------------------
Installing:
1. Start Windows Me.
2. Click the Start button, then click Run.
3. Specify SETUP.EXE with the full path name where you unpacked
   Intel(R) PRO/100 SP Mobile Combo Adapter Software for
   Windows Me driver files and press Enter
4. Follow the instructions.  If you see the message 'Digital Signature 
   Not Found' appears, please click the OK button to continue 
   installing.

Uninstalling:
 1. Start Windows Me
 2. Click Start, point to Settings, then click Control Panel.
 3. Double click the Modems icon. If there is not Modems icon, click 
    view all Control Panel options link at the right side of the 
    window.
 4. Select Lucent Win Modem and click the Remove button.

Determining which version is installed 
--------------------------------------
If there is an alphabet letters in the version number, check
the date stamp of each file which version is installed.

To check the date/time of these files.

 Windows Me
 1. Start Windows Me
 2. Click Start, point to Search, then click For Files or Folders.
 3. In the Search for files or folders named: field, type the file
    name listed above in the table.
 4. Check if C: is included in the Look in: field.
 5. Click the Search Options link and select the Advanced Options 
    check box. Then check the Search Subfolders check box.
 6. Click the Find Now button.
    Windows Me will now search your hard drive for the specified file.
    If the file is not found, then the Modem driver is not installed
    on your system.
 7. When finished searching, select the file name, scroll the window
    to the right and look at the Modified column to check the 
    date/time of the each file.
