DESCRIPTION: |
This package contains the Intel PROSet Application for the listed systems,adapters, and operating systems.Intel PROSet is a wireless LAN application that replaces the default MicrosoftWindows XP Windows Zero Configuration service. Once Intel PROSet is installed,it must be used to configure Intel wireless devices and to manage the wirelessnetwork connection. Intel PROSet is required for users with the listed Inteladapters in order to connect to wireless networks that use Cisco CompatibleExtensions. Users may also find Intel PROSet useful for advanced profilemanagement, single-sign-on support, and advanced diagnostics. Most home andsmall office/home office (SOHO) users do not need this functionality. IfMicrosoft Windows XP Windows Zero Configuration service is desired again,uninstall Intel PROSet and restart the notebook. |

If the notebook is configured with an Intel PRO/Wireless 2100 3B mini PCI adapter, the Intel PRO/Wireless 2200 network connection, or the Intel PRO/Wireless 2915 network connection, download and install SoftPaq Number SP31678, "Intel PRO/Wireless Drivers," Version 5.00 Rev A. SoftPaq Number SP31678 installs driver version 1.2.4.35 for the Intel PRO/Wireless 2100 3B mini PCI adapter or driver version 9.0.3.9 for the Intel PRO/Wireless 2200 or 2915 network connection.
