HOW TO USE: 1. Download the SoftPaq .EXE file to a directory on your hard drive. 2. Execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions to extract the files. 3. Run the utility included in the SoftPaq using either the instructions for Microsoft Windows or DOS, as follows. FOR MICROSOFT WINDOWS OPERATING SYSTEMS: a) Navigate to the location where the files were extracted (default location is C:\SWSetup\SP31890). b) Navigate to the Windows subdirectory. c) Launch the HddUpdate.exe program and follow the on-screen instructions. FOR DOS OPERATING SYSTEMS: a) Navigate to the location where the files were extracted (default location is C:\SWSetup\SP31890). b) Navigate to the DOS subdirectory. c) Copy all the files in this subdirectory to a bootable device (for example, a 1.44-MB diskette, disk on key, and so forth). d) Restart (boot) the computer using the bootable device to which the files were copied in Step c. e) Launch the HDUPDATE.EXE file and follow the on-screen instructions.
